Naples is a fascinating city, but sometimes you want to escape the hustle and bustle and explore more of the surroundings. With this unique cycling tour you will leave the city and enjoy a day full of special places and breathtaking landscapes. Experience an unforgettable day during your visit to Naples and see more of the beautiful surroundings around Naples!
In the morning you will leave together with the experienced guide on excellent mountainbikes (electric bike upgrades are available) to the nice town of Pozzuoli. You will cycle through the impressive landscape of the famous Campi Flegrei (Phlegraean Fields). This is part of a super volcano and forms a unique landscape that the guide will tell you all about. Here you have the option to climb the Solfatara volcano.
Arriving in Pozzuoli you will visit special Roman archaeological remains. You will see ancient temples, amphitheatres and markets and discover more about daily life in the Roman Empire. Then you cycle to a beautiful lake, where it's time for a well-deserved break. Here you have time to have lunch and explore the beautiful surroundings. After the break you will cycle through breathtaking nature to the underwater ruins of Baia. You have the option to take a boat trip of one hour to take a closer look at these special underwater ruins.
Depending on your wishes, the order of the places to be visited can be adjusted. The entire trip is around 80 - 85 km / 50 miles (leaving and arriving by bike in Naples). If you prefer a shorter distance, you can also choose to cycle 40 - 45 km / 28 miles instead (traveling back from Pozzuoli to Naples by train).
