Sights in Madrid

The Spanish royal family no longer lives in this palace, but it is still used on official occasions. The palace has 2800 rooms. If you are in Madrid during New Year, you should definitely go to this square by midnight. Don't forget to bring a bunch of grapes, otherwise the new year could end badly for you...

In this museum of modern art you can admire one of the most famous Spanish paintings: Guernica by Pablo Picasso. There is also extensive attention for other Spanish greats such as Salvador Dali and Joan Miró.

For a nice view over the city you should visit this 92 meters high tower. This height is linked to the year 1992, when the tower was opened on the occasion of the Olympic Games in Barcelona and the title of European Capital of Culture for Madrid.
