Are you visiting Lisbon for longer than a day? Then you should not miss the opportunity to explore the beautiful region around Lisbon. With this relaxing day trip you will discover some of the highlights of the region: Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais!
In the morning you will be picked up at the hotel/accommodation, from where you will be travelling in a minivan to the first stop of the day: Sintra. This beautiful town lies at the foot of the mountain range of the same name. It won't come as a surprise that the region has been recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The mountains, the natural wealth and the many historic sites make this a diverse and unique area. Here you have plenty of time to walk through the medieval Sintra yourself and find a nice place to have lunch. The guide will be happy to give you tips for good restaurants, cafes and local specialty shops.
During the whole day you'll be accompanied by an experienced local English speaking guide and driver. The guide will share interesting stories and fun facts at the many stops. You'll really get to know the places you visit and you get a good impression of the history and culture of Portugal and this specific region. The modern minivan is comfortable and will easily transport you to the different locations.
In the afternoon you will stop at one of the most symbolic places in Portugal: Cabo da Roca. The route to Cabo da Roca alone is fantastic and offers beautiful views of the rugged coast and beautiful nature. Be sure to bring your camera with you, because the panorama at Cabo da Roca is phenomenal. This is a place that you will never forget.
After leaving Cabo da Roca you will stop at the famous surf beach Guincho. The last stop is in the seaside resort of Cascais, where the Portuguese royal family used to spend their summer holidays. This picturesque town has a lot to offer and there are plenty of nice local shops to try and buy some local specialties. After the visit to Cascais, you will leave for Lisbon, but not without taking in the beautiful view of the village of Estoril, famous for its stories about spies in the Second World War. This day trip offers you a day full of beautiful pictures, everlasting memories and a fantastic impression of what the region has to offer!
